Aromatherapy Compress and Skin wash with Oils:

Essential oils diluted with water may be used for external applications, both as a compress or as skin washes. Compresses may be cool or warm and can be made from any clean cloth folded to make a pad. Dilute the essential oils into the water, using 8 to 15 drops per cup of liquid. Dip the cloth into the liquid, wring out the excess moisture and apply to the treatment area. This method is used to treat skin irritation, headaches, chest congestion or swelling from an injury. When makeing ice packs, you may choose to apply the essential oils directly to the pack.
