Caraway essential oil is either colorless or pale yellow and has a sweet and spicy aroma. It is steam distilled from the seeds.

Caraway essential oil is an excellent digestive aid. It prevents bloating and gas, and stimulates appetite. It is fungicidal and also has properties that relaxes muscles.

It blends well with other spicy oils such as cinnamon, and ginger. Caraway also favors jasmine, and frankincense. Use in a massage oil or aroma lamp for nervous tension or nausea by blending Caraway with cardamom and clary sage, an effective blend to stimulate digestion.
