Lime Constituents: Lime Oil Description
The essential oil that is pressed from the lime peel has an engergizing, tangy, citrus aroma and a yellowish green color. Cold-pressed oil is the preferred method of extraction in aromatherapy, and is more expensive than distilled lime oil, which has a pale yellow color and limeada aroma. Lime oil is used in aromatherapy to compliment or substitute for the lemon and adds energy and a sweet, citrus zest to essential oil blends. | ||||||||||||
