Palmarosa Oil Description
Palmarosa also called Rosha Grass and Indian Geranium and is closely related to lemongrass and citronella. Like its relatives, palmarosa has a grassy, lemony scent, but with a subtle floral-rose nuance. Palmarosa oil is distilled from the leaves and flower tops. One of its most inportant constituents is geraniol, which contributes to it's rose like floral scent. Palmarose is used in aromatherapy for its calming effect to help relieve nervous tension and stress. Palmarosa is a cleansing, astringent addition to skin care blends can be used as a substitute for the expensive rose and geranium oils.
