3 parts Epsom salt
1/2 cup coarse sea salt

Dried Herbs: Add 1 tablespoon each of cut and sifted dry herbs per cup of salt: Rosemary, sage, eucalyptus and lemongrass work well, but you may use any of the aromatic herbs you like.

Essential Oils: Combine several drops essential oils of your choice with the dried herbs, or alone with the salt base.

Combine ingredients in a lidded jar or tin, shake, uncap and enjoy the aroma, or add to baths and foot soaks. Replenish oils as desired.

Body Scrubs Body scrubs concentrate on exfoliation of dead skin, especially on the feet, elbows and other dry, rough patches of skin. Body scrubs call for combining essential oils and carrier oils with a slightly aberasive base, such as sugar, salts, and ground almonds or oats.

Basic Sugar Scub 1/2 cup sugar granules
1 tablespoon carrier oil
15 to 20 drops essential oil
Combine sugar, carrier oil and essential oils. Mix thoroughly and massage into skin, concentrating on rough, dry skin on heels, toes and elbow. Rinse with warm water and apply a light skin oil. Tip: Scrubs work best after a long soak in the bath to enhance exfoliation.
